STEM education has been reported to have a poor record in Cambodia despite the fact that many stakeholders have tried to boost this curriculum. But our guest speaker Lydet Pidor, Lead Mentor at Technovation Cambodia notes that STEM is quite new to many Cambodians, surely requiring more time for them to adapt to the field.
"When something new is introduced into class or community, it is going to take time for them to get used to it especially to understand what it is, how it benefits them in the future and so on. I think it is not about speed of adoption, but it is about the duration we have introduced them,” Lydet explains.
