It is said that only 25% of new businesses make it to 15 years or more.

Aii Language Center (Aii) is a North American Standard-based center specializing in languages and is one of the biggest English language centers in Cambodia. Aii offers a series of English, Chinese and Thai language training programs and Test of English as Second Language (TOEFL) preparation course. The Center has also branded itself as a unique, internally integrated education service provider through housing TOEFL iBT Test Center and International Cultural Exchange Services (ICES) Cambodia. In 2016s, it even opened its own TESOL House, where trainees have access to a TESOL training program fully validated by INTESOL Worldwide based in the UK.

With its humble beginning in 2005, with only 5 staff and 45 students, Aii Language Center has grown to be the biggest foreign language learning hub in the country and a significant partner with the government in enhancing the country’s education quality and human resources. Currently, the school has over 7,000 students and 1,400 staff, studying and working in 6 campuses all over Phnom Penh, as well as 50,000 alumni living, studying, and working around the world.

"In the past 16 years, we have been building ourselves as a globally recognized institution in Cambodia," says Tharith Phoung, Campus Director of the Aii Language Center, Mao Tse Tong Campus.

"Our students have proven their competency and qualifications in national and international competitions in Asia, the Pacific and beyond."

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which has hit Cambodia and its education sector hard in the past two years, Aii has been playing a leading role in the new trend of distant learning, with its effective and efficient online learning methods. The implications were severe but it didn’t stop Aii from expanding; Aii Siem Reap is the first provincial campus with many more to come in the near future, to provide learning opportunities in the country’s tourist hubs and the former glorious Khmer Empire. Its enrollment starts from April 2022 and the new term commences on May 9, 2022.

"Our student numbers did not drop much, and our students are still enjoying their learning. Thanks to the effective and creative ways utilized by our highly-experienced, flexible teachers and management team," Tharith adds. "Both parents and students trust us."

Throughout the years, in response to Cambodia’s rapid advance in international integration and the influx of foreign investments from countries around the world, Aii Language Center has been expanding its high-quality services to better prepare Cambodian students for the brand-new labor market.

Neak Oknha Dr. Mengly J. Quach, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Mengly J. Quach Education, says the rate at which Aii Language Center has been growing may even be seen as "slow in American perspectives", but it is indeed "very fast in Cambodian terms".

"None of the schools grew this big, fast and popular," he says. "We are the best in Cambodian terms."

Dr. Mengly attributes Aii Language Center’s success to all of his professional and hard-working staff.

"I am the luckiest person in Cambodia because I have always found the best, honest, and nice people around me, despite the fact that I was alone and without any relatives when I first came back to Cambodia from the U.S.," he adds.

"This company depends on the staff, and they are very dedicated to their work; they work so hard as if the company was theirs. They have been doing this for the sake of their children and next generations."
